Steen was established in the northern German town of Elmshorn in 1893. Since then, the company has developed continuously and today, Steen is the leading manufacturer of first-class deck machinery.

Besides commercial vessels, mega yachts and navy vessels, Steen also equips rescue cruis-ers, fire fighting boats, police boats, tugboats, ferries, research vessels as well as offshore facilities. In doing so, Steen engineers consider it important that the equipment can be installed on site easily. Each unit is tested in detail at the factory in the presence of the required classification society before it is released for delivery.
Thanks to the extensive machine park, a wide scope of deck machinery is completely manufactured at Steen works in Elmshorn. Whether welding, turning or milling: The production is at work with greatest precision. The results are high-quality and long-lasting products - operating periods of over 50 years in rough seas are documented.
